Located midway between Juneau and Glacier Bay, the small Tlingit village of Hoonah sits beside Icy Strait, where the migratory routes of halibut and all species of salmon converge.
Unlike the other major cruise ship destinations, Hoonah doesn't get a huge influx of visitors, one reason why the fishing is so great! First class fishing, a modern harbor and airport - just a 20 minute flight or a two hour boat ride from Glacier Bay or Juneau.
